How to reduce fasting blood sugar level during pregnancy?
Im 27 weeks and my morning fasting reading keeps coming on the higher side even though my post meal numbers are fine. Diet during the day is already pretty controlled so honestly confused why fasting is the issue. Anyone faced this, what worked for u?
Morning walk after waking up helped me bring fasting down. Cut the late night sweet completely. And keep track in a notebook so ur gynac can see the pattern, dont just rely on memory.
Amma told me to have dinner early and not heavy rice at night, that calmed mine a bit. But honestly the doctor's diet chart is what kept it controlled. Take it seriously na, baby's health depends on it.
Realistically what worked for me, finish dinner by 8, walk 15 min, sleep on time. Protein at dinner instead of carb heavy. Check ur fasting daily and report to doc weekly, dont skip the follow ups.
Fasting numbers were my biggest struggle too. What actually helped me was a small bedtime snack like a few nuts or paneer cubes, not going to bed on empty stomach. But pls get ur dietician to fix the plan, mine adjusted my dinner timing and it made a real difference.
Fasting sugar is the tricky one because it depends on hormones at night, not just food. So dont blame urself if it stays high even after eating well. Your doctor may tweak diet or medication, follow what they say.
