My feet have started swelling a lot in this last trimester, by night my chappals dont even fit. Thoda worried but doc said its common. Any tricks to bring the sujan down?
I used to get bad swelling in my third trimester, and keeping my feet elevated on two pillows while sleeping helped immensely. Try to avoid sitting with your legs dangling for long hours, and gently move your ankles in circles to keep the blood flowing.
My MIL and mother both advised me to soak my feet in warm water with a pinch of rock salt for 10 minutes every evening. It worked wonders for me and the warm water soak felt so relaxing after a long day of ghar ka kaam. Definitely try it!
According to my doctor, mild swelling is normal due to increased fluid retention, but we must watch out for high blood pressure. She advised me to reduce excess salt in my diet and never stand in one place for too long. If you notice sudden swelling in your face or hands too, please report it to your doctor immediately.
Yaar, don't stress too much about the puffy feet, it's just your body holding onto extra love for the baby! Just put your feet up, make your husband give you a nice gentle massage, and take a good nap. This will all disappear soon after delivery, chill!
Just keep a positive mind and remember this is a beautiful phase of your life. Do some light prayers or meditation to relax your mind, and gently elevate your legs when resting. God will take care of everything, just take proper rest and eat well.
