How to reduce high blood pressure during pregnancy?
My BP came a bit high in my last checkup and the doc has asked me to keep watching it. Im 30 weeks and honestly a little worried about it. I will follow whatever she says but wanted to know what others did to keep it in control.
First thing, this needs ur doctor's supervision, BP in pregnancy is serious. Along with what she advises, reducing salt, rest, less stress and proper sleep help. Dont take any BP medicine on ur own, only what doctor gives. Keep checking it regularly.
High BP in pregnancy is something you really must not handle alone, I learnt this the hard way. I had it and was monitored closely. Please see ur gynac soon, follow her advice on diet and any medicine, and watch for headaches, swelling or vision changes. Those need immediate attention.
I know high BP sounds scary but with proper doctor care it's manageable, dont panic. Rest well, eat low salt, avoid stress and most importantly keep ur appointments. Let the doctor decide everything about medicines. Take care of yourself ok.
My doctor told me to cut down salt, stay well rested, keep stress low and come for regular BP checks. She also said report any severe headache, blurring or sudden swelling at once as it can signal preeclampsia. Lifestyle helps but medical follow up is key here.
I was working with raised BP so I had to slow down a lot, cut salt and stop skipping rest. The realistic part, you have to prioritise checkups even when busy. Your gynac monitoring it closely matters more than any home tip here.
