These leg cramps are waking me up at night, mostly in my calves, and it really hurts. Im in 6th month now. what did u all do to get some relief, pls share.
Stretch your calves before bed, stay hydrated and keep moving in the day. When a cramp hit me at night I would flex my foot up towards me and it released. A warm compress also helped. They got better as I drank more water.
My app suggested calf stretches and staying hydrated, and it really helped. I also started keeping a banana in my evening snack since the apps mentioned potassium. Worth asking your doc if you need any supplement though.
Warm water soak for the feet at night calmed mine down a lot, family advice that worked. Keep hydrated and stretch gently. If the cramps are very frequent or one leg stays swollen and painful, do mention it to your doctor.
Beta a gentle massage with warm oil before sleeping does wonders, my mother always did this for me. Keep your legs slightly raised on a pillow too. And drink enough water, often cramps come from less water.
