Delivered my baby last month and my legs and feet are still so swollen, didnt expect it to stay even after delivery. Bohot uncomfortable when i stand for feeding. New moms how did u get rid of this swelling?
I had thyroid issues during pregnancy, so my doctor kept a very close watch on my postpartum swelling. Make sure you get your thyroid and BP checked regularly even after delivery, as they can cause water retention. Just keep your gynac in the loop.
Since I have PCOS, my body was already prone to water retention, so the swelling was quite bad for me too. Try to gently move your ankles in circles and keep your feet up. But please check with your doctor if the swelling is only in one leg or suddenly gets worse.
Haan na, the swelling is so annoying, mere feet looked like elephant feet! Try to wear comfortable slip-ons and don't stand for too long. It will go away slowly, ho na.
No need to buy expensive creams, just use simple ghar pe remedies. Soak your feet in lukewarm water with a little rock salt for 15 minutes. Also, ask your husband to gently massage your feet upwards, it really helps!
My toddler is 2 now and I still remember how huge my feet looked right after delivery! It is just the extra IV fluids and hormones leaving your body. Keep walking a little bit inside the house and it will naturally settle down in a week or two.
Keep your legs elevated on a cushion whenever you lie down! Drinking lots of water also helps flush out the extra fluid. Hang in there, it will disappear soon!
First of all, stop sitting with your legs hanging down. Keep your feet elevated on 2 pillows while sleeping and reduce your salt intake slightly. It takes a few weeks to go away, so don't worry.
