My feet are so puffy by evening these days, cant even fit into my chappals properly. Im in third trimester. What do u all do to bring the swelling down a bit?
Uff, swelling! With twins, my feet looked like balloons, literally! What really helped me was keeping them elevated whenever possible, like stacking pillows under them when I was chilling. And compression socks, not the prettiest, but they were total lifesavers, trust me!
I felt so incredibly uncomfortable with my feet swelling, like absolutely nothing fit me anymore! It was actually quite painful sometimes, especially by evening. What helped me a bit was just soaking my feet in warm water with some epsom salt, it felt really relaxing. And my husband used to give me a gentle foot massage every evening, which was nice.
Many women experience feet swelling in pregnancy, especially in the later stages. It's quite common, so don't stress too much about it. Simple things like avoiding standing for long periods, taking regular short walks, and definitely keeping your feet up can make a big difference. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day.
Oh my god, this swelling business is real na? I'm in my third tri too and my feet feel like little potatoes that have expanded! I try to walk a bit, it helps circulation, but then I'm so tired and just wanna sit. My doc said keep changing positions, so I'm basically a human fidget spinner these days.
Aww, I remember those swollen feet days so clearly! My little one is running around now, but back then, it felt like that discomfort would never go away. Just hang in there, it's a phase that passes. Keep your feet up, drink plenty of water, and trust me, it'll all be a distant memory soon enough once baby arrives.
While some amount of swelling is generally considered normal during pregnancy, it's always best to just mention it to your gynac during your next appointment. Especially if it's sudden, very severe, or accompanied by other symptoms like headaches or vision changes. They can properly check if everything's okay and give you the right advice.
Swelling can feel a bit concerning sometimes, I completely understand that feeling. My journey was very precious, so every small change felt significant. Please know that many expecting moms face this. Gently elevating your feet and perhaps some light leg exercises might offer some comfort. Always listen to your body and share any concerns with your doctor.
