Swelling in the feet is very common, but because of my past experience, I was always extra careful. If it's mild, try keeping your feet elevated on pillows, but please check your blood pressure and consult your doctor to ensure everything is safe.
Don't sit with your legs hanging down for long hours, especially during office work. Keep a stool under your desk, drink lots of water, and cut down on extra sodium. If the swelling is sudden or very severe, call your doctor immediately as it could be high BP.
I had severe swelling because of gestational diabetes and water retention. Eating low-salt foods and keeping my feet up helped, but please make sure your doctor checks your BP and sugar levels to rule out any complications.
I am in my 8th month and my feet look like balloons! Elevating them on a pillow while sleeping helps a bit, but is anyone else experiencing sudden swelling in their hands too, or should I call my gynac?
I freaked out when my favorite shoes didn't fit anymore! It turned out to be just normal third-trimester water retention, but my doctor checked my BP just to be sure. Elevate your feet and rest, it really helps!
