My face has puffed up a lot lately, specially in the mornings i barely recognise myself. Im in my 7th month. Anything that helped you reduce it? i will also mention it to my doc at next visit.
With a desk job mine got worse when I sat too long. I started taking short walks, propping my feet up at lunch, and cutting outside salty snacks. Drinking water actually reduced the puffiness, sounds odd but it worked.
Some face puffiness is normal, especially later on. Cut back on salty and packed foods, drink enough water and rest with your feet up. Mine was worst in the mornings and eased through the day.
Mild swelling is usually fine, but please don't ignore sudden or severe face and hand swelling, especially with headache or blurry vision, that can be a BP issue. I had to watch for this carefully. Get your BP checked and call your gynac if it comes on suddenly.
My doctor said gradual mild swelling is common, helped by less salt, more water and resting with legs raised. But she warned that sudden puffy face with headache needs an urgent BP check for pre eclampsia. So manage the mild stuff at home but flag anything sudden.
My mother told me to reduce salt and keep hydrated, and it did help my puffiness. Cold water splashes felt nice too. Just keep an eye out, if it suddenly increases a lot, tell your doctor, better safe.
