this is more of a general question, i work with some young girls in my area and the numbers are honestly worrying. just wanted to understand what actually helps prevent it. any thoughts welcome.
From what I've seen, access to right information and contraception awareness makes the most difference. Many issues come from myths and not knowing. Encouraging teens to talk to a trusted adult or doctor without fear is key.
Honestly the biggest thing is proper awareness and open conversation, not shaming. Teens need correct info about contraception and their bodies, schools and parents both have a role. A gynac or counsellor can also guide young girls safely.
It really comes down to communication and education. When teens feel they can ask questions safely, they make better choices. Less judgement, more honest guidance from family and school.
Education is the real answer. Talk openly with kids instead of making it a taboo topic, that silence is what causes problems. Awareness about safe practices and saying no, plus keeping them busy with studies and goals.
In our time no one talked about these things and that did more harm. Beta, the best thing is to guide young ones with love, teach them values and also the facts. Parents being approachable matters more than any rule.
