My TSH came a bit high in this trimester and im already on medicine my doctor gave. But I was wondering if there is anything in diet or lifestyle that helps along with it. Honestly a bit stressed about it affecting baby. Pls share what worked for you.
My amma also gave me lot of advice about food but my doctor was clear that during pregnancy thyroid must be controlled with proper tablet and testing. Eat balanced, take your iron and your thyroid meds on empty stomach as told. Trust the reports more than tips.
Please be careful with this one. Thyroid in pregnancy is something only your doctor should manage with regular blood tests, it's not a thing to fix with home remedies. Mine needed the dose changed twice, so get it checked often.
Naturally you can support it with enough iodine in diet, eating well, managing stress and sleep. But thyroid levels in pregnancy directly affect the baby, so this is really a medicine plus monitoring situation. Talk to your endocrinologist or gynac, dont go natural only.
I have PCOS along with thyroid so I get the wanting to do it naturally feeling. But honestly during pregnancy I just followed my doctor fully, regular TSH and the prescribed dose. I didnt want to risk experimenting with anything when baby was involved.
I had thyroid both pregnancies and honestly natural cheezein alone wont manage it during pregnancy. My doctor adjusted my dose every few weeks based on TSH tests. Please dont stop or skip the tablet, baby's brain development needs the levels controlled. Diet and walk help support but the medicine is the main thing here.
