My recent report showed tsh on higher side and gynac wants to monitor it. Im 14 weeks. Apart from the medicine she gave, did anything in diet or lifestyle help any of you bring it down? Bit tensed about it.
I had thyroid in pregnancy and the only proper way to manage TSH is the medication and dose your doctor sets, with regular blood tests. Please dont try to reduce it with home remedies, this needs monitoring. My gynac adjusted my dose a few times based on reports, so keep your follow ups.
TSH control during pregnancy is really important and is doctor managed, not something to handle on our own. Mine was watched closely with repeat tests. Take your prescribed medicine on time and never skip the follow up appointments.
My endocrinologist explained that in pregnancy the target TSH range is tighter, so they adjust thyroid medicine accordingly and retest regularly. Diet alone wont fix it. Stick to your prescribed dose and the testing schedule your doctor gives.
