My latest blood report showed wbc on the higher side and now im a bit worried. Im 6 months along and my doc will see me next week. Has anyone gone through this, what did your gynac say?
A little high WBC is actually common in pregnancy, body just reacts that way. But if its quite high, doctor will check for any infection and treat the cause, not the number directly. Take the report to your doctor, dont stress alone over it.
WBC often rises a bit during pregnancy, its not always a problem. There is no home remedy to just lower a number. The right step is to let your gynac review it, they will find if theres an underlying reason and handle it.
Honestly this is not something to manage at home. A high WBC can be normal in pregnancy or it can mean an infection. Please show the report to your gynac, they will decide if anything needs to be done. Dont self treat this.
I am always careful not to guess about lab values, I have learnt to leave it to doctors. Stay hydrated, eat well and rest, but the count itself is for your gynac to read. Please book a quick visit to be safe.
