This is a very common issue during pregnancy, but you don't have to suffer silently. At good hospitals, the doctors and even nurses are very approachable. Clearly explain the severity and frequency of your heartburn to your gynac. They can suggest safe antacids or dietary changes that truly work for you, sometimes even specific brands that are approved for pregnancy.
Uff, heartburn is such a mood killer when you just want to enjoy all those pregnancy cravings! I found that avoiding super spicy biryani and too much fried stuff helped a little. Also, plain curd or a glass of chilled milk sometimes gives instant relief. But honestly, sometimes nothing works and you just wait it out, haha!
Oh god, heartburn was the absolute worst part of my pregnancy, I literally felt like fire in my chest! I used to have sips of cold milk or just plain cold water throughout the day. My doctor gave me some safe chewable tablets too. It's temporary, hang in there, mama!
Heartburn is so common, don't worry, it's just the baby pushing things up! Try eating smaller, more frequent meals instead of big ones. Avoid spicy and oily foods. Also, don't lie down immediately after eating, wait at least an hour or two. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated can also help. If it gets too bad, talk to your gynac.
Heartburn is pretty normal because hormones relax the valve to your stomach and the uterus pushes up. Try avoiding trigger foods like spicy, fatty, or acidic stuff. Eat smaller meals, don't lie down after eating, and keep yourself hydrated. If these don't help, your doctor can prescribe pregnancy-safe antacids. Don't self-medicate though.
