How to relieve back pain during pregnancy while sleeping?
My lower back is paining so bad at night that i keep waking up and cant find any comfortable position. Im in my third trimester now and the bump is heavy. What worked for you ladies, any pillow tricks or positions?
I got a pregnancy pillow, that C shaped one, and honestly it was a game changer for the back pain at night. If you dont want to buy one, just use 2-3 regular pillows, one between knees and one behind your back.
Back ache at night was rough for me. Side sleeping with a pillow hugging in front and one between the legs helped me get comfy. Getting in and out of bed slowly, rolling to the side first, also eased the strain.
Pillow support and side sleeping usually help. But if your back pain is severe, constant, or comes with cramps or any tightening, please dont just manage it at home, mention it to your doctor to be safe.
Sleep on your side, left side is best, and put a pillow between your knees. That one trick saved my back both pregnancies. A small pillow under the belly also helps support the weight. Avoid sleeping flat on your back in later months.
Apart from the pillow tricks, some gentle prenatal stretches before bed eased my back, but only after my doctor said it was okay. A warm (not hot) compress before sleeping also relaxed the muscles. Dont push anything that hurts.
