How to relieve belly button pain during pregnancy?
Since few days i feel this weird pain around my belly button area, kind of sharp sometimes. Im in 2nd trimester. Is this just stretching or something else? anyone else had this?
Honestly, my belly button felt so sore in the second trimester as my bump popped out! I found that using a maternity support belt and sleeping on my side with a pillow under my tummy helped relieve the pressure.
I experienced this during my late second trimester when my belly started growing fast. Gentle massage with olive oil after a bath helped keep the skin elastic. Just rest on your side and don't stretch your body too forcefully.
Your body is doing such an amazing job growing your little miracle, so some stretching pain is expected. Try not to rub or scratch it if it itches, just gently pat some aloe vera gel. Take care, u are doing great.
My mother suggested applying a drop of warm coconut oil or ghee around the belly button, and it actually helped soothe the stretching pain. But if there is any redness or sharp pain, please check with your doctor once.
I had this too and it was quite uncomfortable, probably just the skin and muscles stretching. Try applying a little coconut oil or a gentle moisturizer to keep the skin soft. If the pain gets sharp or severe, please mention it to your gynac.
Haan na, that pulling feeling near the belly button is so annoying! Just apply some moisturizer and wear loose gowns or kurtis. Heavy clothes press on it and make it hurt more, so keep it light.
With all the stretching our abdominal walls go through, the belly button area gets really sensitive. Try avoiding tight waistbands that press against it. A warm (not hot) compress can also give some relief.
It's mostly due to your uterus expanding and pushing outward, but make sure to bring it up in your regular doctor visits. I used to note down all these small pains for my monthly checks. Wearing loose cotton clothes really helped ease the friction.
