These cramps wake me up at night and the pain in my calf is so sharp i literally jump out of bed. Im in my third trimester and its happening almost every night now. Pls share what helps u, im so sleep deprived.
Omg those midnight cramps, i felt like screaming sometimes. What helped me was gently stretching the calf, pulling my toes up towards me, and a warm water bottle. Drinking more water through the day also reduced them for me.
Gentle calf stretches and short walks during the day helped me a lot, but only after my doctor said walking was fine for me. Dont sit in one position too long. Hydration is honestly half the battle.
My mother used to warm some oil and gently massage my legs at night, it really soothed the cramps. Also keep a pillow under the feet while sleeping. If they get too bad, mention it to your gynac in the next visit.
Stay hydrated and stretch ur calves before bed, that cut mine down a lot. A light leg massage at night helps too. If they are very frequent ask doc about calcium and magnesium, dont self start any supplement.
Yaar those cramps are the worst actually. I used to flex my foot the moment it started and slowly massage. Pani zyada piyo during the day, it genuinely helped me more than anything.
