We told our elders simply over a small sweet at home, amma was so happy she immediately wanted to do pooja. Just do it in ur own way, the news itself makes them happy na.
In joint family we told saasu maa and mummy together to avoid any heart burn later haha. A small gathering, some mithai, and shared the news. They were over the moon.
