My baby is almost 4 months now and i still have so much weight to lose, nothing fits me. im breastfeeding so im scared of doing anything drastic. mommas who lost the baby weight, how did u start? need some realistic tips.
Realistically with a baby u wont get gym time, so I focused on what I ate, more protein and veggies, less fried, and squeezed in 20 min walks with the pram. Slow but it works. Dont compare to insta moms yaar.
Breastfeeding honestly helped me drop a good amount without doing much, it burns calories. Eat well dont starve, your milk needs it. Small home walks, lots of water and good sleep when possible. It takes time, be kind to yourself.
Go slow specially if u had a c sec like me. First few months its all about healing, not weight. Once doctor cleared me around 3 months I started gentle walks and watched portions. The weight came down slowly with breastfeeding too, dont rush your body.
Give yourself atleast 6 weeks before doing anything, more if c section. Then start with walking, then add light core work once your body feels ready. Cut sugar and outside snacks first, that itself shows. No crash diets while feeding.
I totally get the pressure, I cried looking at my belly few weeks after delivery. But honestly the body just gave birth, it needs time. I started slow and it did come back. Be patient with yourself, you grew a whole human.
Once your doctor gives the green signal, postnatal yoga and walking are great to start. I am still pregnant but my sister did this and it really helped her core recover. Just dont jump into heavy workouts before you are cleared.
