Im 6 months now and my back hurts so much when i sit for long, especially at work. Started wondering if im sitting wrong all this time. How do you all manage sitting comfortably?
I sit at a desk all day so this mattered for me. Keep your back supported, get up and walk every 30-40 mins, and put a small stool under feet if you can. Dont sit in one position for hours, thats the main thing.
My prenatal yoga teacher told me to lower down slowly using support, dont plonk down suddenly. Sitting tall with shoulders relaxed is best. Also avoid very low sofas, getting up from those is a workout later on.
Sit back straight with full back support, feet flat on floor, dont slouch or sit on edge. Use a cushion behind your lower back, helped me a lot in later months. And dont sit cross legged for long, legs swell.
My amma always said sit properly with a pillow at the back and dont stay too long in one spot. I followed that. If you have any back pain while sitting do mention to your doctor, they can suggest right posture for you.
