At home we usually sit on floor for eating and puja and all. Now with the bump its getting harder na. Im 5 months. How do u manage sitting and getting up without strain?
My saas always insisted on sitting on the floor for meals, but with the big belly, it was tough! I used to put a big pillow behind me for support, or sometimes I would just sit on a small stool. Do what makes you comfortable, don't push yourself too much.
You can definitely sit on the floor, just listen to your body! 😊 Try sitting cross-legged (sukhasana) or with your legs stretched out, and always use a cushion or pillow for back support. And take your time getting up! You got this! ✨
Take your time, dear. Find a comfortable posture that supports your back and doesn't strain your belly. Perhaps sit cross-legged with a cushion. Remember, taking care of your body is part of a positive mindset during this blessed time.
It's totally okay to find this difficult, don't feel bad about it. The body changes so much! Try sitting against a wall for back support, or use lots of cushions. Getting up slowly, maybe by rolling to your side first, can help reduce strain.
Ugh, sitting comfortably is a mission itself! Especially when you want to eat all the yummy snacks on the low table. I found sitting cross-legged with a cushion under my bum helped, or propping against a wall. Just get comfy to enjoy your food!
Ha ha, with twins it felt like I needed a crane to get up from the floor! 😂 I used to sit on a big bean bag or with tons of pillows behind me. And always had my husband on standby for a helping hand. Don't be afraid to ask for help!
It can be tricky, especially in the later months. I found sitting with my back against a sofa or wall, with a pillow supporting my lower back, was the most comfortable. Cross-legged or with legs wide apart. Just make sure you can get up without straining.
Oh my god, yes! I'm struggling with this so much already, especially when I have to pick something up. How do you guys manage to get up from the floor without looking like a clumsy elephant? Any specific posture that helps?
My pregnancy app actually had some good tips for this! They recommend sitting cross-legged or in butterfly pose (baddha konasana) to help with pelvic opening. Always use a wall or firm cushion for back support, and get up very slowly by pushing yourself up with your hands.
My mother-in-law always said sitting on the floor helps with flexibility for delivery. But darling, listen to your body. Sit cross-legged with a good cushion under your bottom, or with legs stretched out. If there is pain, don't force it, better to ask your doctor.
I felt like I was stuck every time I sat on the floor! What really helped me was sitting on a thick yoga mat or multiple cushions. Also, keeping my legs a bit open and sitting straight, instead of slumping, made a huge difference.
Okay, key is to avoid straining your back or abdomen. Sit cross-legged or butterfly style, always with good back support from a wall or cushion. When getting up, roll to your side, push up with your hands, and use your legs to stand. Don't pull yourself up from your core.
