Im in my 5th month and these days bending or lowering down feels thoda awkward, especially the Indian toilet. My MIL keeps saying be careful but never tells how exactly. Western seat ok hai ya should I avoid? Anyone faced this?
My pregnancy app actually recommended the squatty potty or a normal small stool for the bathroom. It aligns the colon perfectly and prevents pelvic pressure. Try not to sit for too long scrolling on your phone though, it can cause hemorrhoids!
Oh god, sitting down and getting up is a whole workout now at 34 weeks! I literally use the bathroom wall for support, actually thinking of getting handles installed. Just don't squat on the Indian style ones if your tummy is huge, it is a total disaster.
Beta, use a western toilet if you have one, it is much safer than squatting. Just keep your back straight and try to place a small stool under your feet to raise your knees a bit. This angle actually helps with constipation also, which is very common.
Just buy a toilet stool, guys, it is a lifesaver. Keeps your posture correct and there is no strain on the lower back or belly. If you are using public washrooms, use those disposable seat covers or sprays, simple.
I know, even simple things like sitting on the toilet make us so nervous during pregnancy, I used to worry about putting too much pressure. Honestly, just sit comfortably on a western seat and don't strain at all. Keeping a small stool under your feet helps a lot to make it easier.
