Im in my 2nd month and somehow not able to get comfortable at night, keep tossing around. Not even showing yet but neend hi nahi aati. How did u all manage to sleep better in early days?
In the second month, your baby is very small, so you can sleep in any position that feels comfortable. My mother used to say sleeping on the left side is good for blood flow, and my doctor also agreed with it. Just use a soft pillow for support.
Medically speaking, your uterus is still behind the pubic bone in month 2, so any sleeping position is safe. But it's a good time to start practicing sleeping on your left side as it improves circulation. Use a pillow between your knees for extra comfort.
Oh God, sleep as much as you can now because once the baby comes, sleep is a luxury! In the 2nd month, you can literally sleep in any position you like. Just get a pregnancy pillow early, it's a lifesaver for later months.
Enjoy sleeping on your stomach while you still can, because soon you'll look like a turtle stuck on its back, haha! Right now, baby is too tiny to feel anything, so sleep however you want. Just avoid sleeping flat on your back later on.
I used to panic and wake up in the middle of the night thinking I hurt the baby by sleeping on my back! But my gynac reassured me that in early months, the baby is well-protected. Just relax and sleep on your side when you can.
Don't stress too much about sleeping positions in the first trimester. Just sleep however you feel comfortable and get enough rest. As your belly grows, you will naturally feel like turning to your side anyway.
