just found out im pregnant, barely a month. i sleep on my stomach normally and now im scared its harmful. is it ok in the first month or should i change position already? cant sleep properly thinking about it.
In my first month, I felt so tired all the time but also very anxious about sleeping position. My doctor explained that sleeping on the back or tummy is totally fine at this stage. I slowly adjusted to sleeping on my left side later on.
Pehle mahine me toh tum jaise chaho waise so sakti ho, koi chinta ki baat nahi hai. Bas acche se aaram karo aur man ko khush rakho. Daktar se bhi poochti rehna samay par.
I am in my second trimester now and find side-sleeping a bit tough, but in the first month I slept on my stomach without issues. Did anyone else also find it hard to transition to side sleeping later? It is normal to feel a bit anxious!
My pregnancy app tracker said that sleeping on any side is perfectly safe in the first trimester. It’s only from the second trimester that side-sleeping is highly recommended. Just get as much rest as you can right now!
Sleep as much as you can and in whatever position you want right now, because once the baby comes, sleep is a luxury, haha! First month is totally safe for any position. Enjoy your tummy sleeping while you still can!
Personally, I slept on my tummy and back during my first month without any issues, and my doctor said it was perfectly fine then. As the months went by, I slowly shifted to my left side. Every journey is different, so just do what feels comfortable for you.
Since the uterus is still deep inside the pelvis in the first month, sleeping position doesn't affect the baby at all. You can sleep on your back, tummy, or side comfortably. Just avoid sleeping on your stomach once the bump starts showing in later months.
Sleeping on any side or position is fine in the first month. I kept up with light stretching and walking, which my doctor allowed, and it really helped me sleep peacefully. Just listen to your body and don't stress.
Having history of PCOS made me extra cautious from the very first month, but my gynac assured me that sleeping position doesn't matter early on. You can sleep comfortably on your back or side. Just stay in close touch with your doctor for peace of mind.
In the first month, your baby is very small so you can sleep in any position you find comfortable. I had thyroid issues, so I always kept my doctor updated on my lifestyle and sleeping habits during regular checkups. Just consult your gynac if you feel any discomfort.
I asked my hospital care team during my first visit and they told me sleeping position doesn't matter at all in the first month. They said to just focus on getting enough sleep and staying hydrated. Definitely clear any doubts with your doctor during visits.
Haan yaar, abhi toh pehla mahina hai toh jaise marzi so jao, koi tension nahi hai na. Baad me jab pet badhega tab left side sona padega. Abhi toh acche se neend poori karo bas.
Honestly, don't overcomplicate it in the first month. Sleep however you like because the baby is perfectly protected inside. Start practicing side-sleeping slowly so it becomes a habit for later months.
