I'm finding it so difficult to get comfortable while sleeping these days. I'm looking for ideas on the best sleeping positions during pregnancy. Can anyone suggest comfortable positions?
When I was staying at my mom's place, my mother made sure I always slept on my left side. She would tuck a soft pillow under my belly and another between my knees to keep me comfortable. It really helped with back pain, so do try using pillows for support.
Haan, sleeping position toh pregnancy me bahut bada task ho jata hai! You should try to sleep on your left side, isse blood flow baby tak achha hota hai. Apne dono ghutno ke beech me ek pillow rakh lo, bahut aaram milega na.
Honestly, sleep is a luxury I miss so much now! But back then, sleeping on the left side with a giant C-shaped pregnancy pillow was the only way I could get any rest. Do yourself a favor and buy one of those pillows immediately before your sleep completely disappears!
I am currently trying to conceive and reading up on all these comfortable sleeping habits. It is so sweet to see how everyone manages with pillows. I am definitely saving these tips for when my time comes!
My doctor explained that sleeping on the left side is the SOS (Sleep on Side) position because it keeps the uterus off the main blood vessels. She told me to avoid sleeping flat on my back after the first trimester as it can restrict oxygen to the baby. Using a pillow between your legs helps keep the spine aligned.
Sleeping comfortably is so important for keeping your energy levels high! Try to practice side sleeping early on, as it gets easier once the belly grows. I slept on my left side throughout, and it really kept me fresh and prepared for a smooth normal delivery.
