Husband finally got me that big U shaped pregnancy pillow but honestly im not getting the right position. 26 weeks and my back hurts at night. How do you guys actually adjust your body in it? Feeling thoda silly asking but please help.
Honestly, that pillow was my absolute savior when my back was aching in the third trimester. I used to tuck the long side under my belly and hug the top part, it felt like a warm hug. It's totally okay to take some time to get used to it, sleep is so precious right now.
If it's a C-shaped or U-shaped pillow, place the curve at your head, tuck one side along your back to prevent rolling, and put the other side between your knees to align your spine. Left-side sleeping is medically recommended to improve circulation to the placenta.
Just place the pillow under your head, let it support your back, and put the lower end between your legs. It helps support the heavy belly and gives you a comfortable sleep on your side.
I literally make a nest out of my U-shaped pillow, grab a bowl of late-night snacks, and prop myself up to watch my favorite shows! Sleep on your left side with the pillow supporting your bump and legs, it's super comfy.
Beta, sleep on your left side as it is best for the baby's blood flow. Place the long pillow behind your back to support it, and keep a small normal cushion between your knees. It will give you great relief from backache.
