How to sleep with lower back pain during pregnancy?
At night my lower back hurts and I keep changing sides again and again. I am 24 weeks and sleep is broken now. What sleeping position or pillow setup helped you?
I bought a U shaped pregnancy pillow and honestly it changed my sleep. Side sleeping with knees slightly bent, pillow supporting belly and back. The apps all suggested left side too.
Side position with a cushion under the bump and one between legs. Avoid sleeping flat on back in later months. Worked both my pregnancies. A warm bag on the back before bed eased the ache too.
These tricks help but if the back pain is sharp or constant, do mention to ur gynac, sometimes it needs checking. Mild ache is normal in pregnancy though, side sleeping with support eases it.
A pillow between my knees while sleeping on the side was a lifesaver for my back. Sleeping on left side is what most docs suggest. Take it easy when getting up, roll to side first.
