I am in 8th month and ribs on one side hurt badly when I lie down. Pillows help little but I keep waking up at night. Anyone found a comfortable sleeping position for this?
A pregnancy pillow honestly changed my sleep. Side lying with the body pillow took the rib pressure off completely. If you dont want to buy one, just stack regular pillows for support.
Sleep on your side with a pillow between knees and one supporting your belly, takes pressure off the ribs. The side that hurts less, lie on the opposite one. Worked for me both pregnancies.
Omg the rib pain is real, baby uses my ribs as a footrest apparently. I prop myself up slightly with extra pillows instead of lying flat, helps a bit. The struggle is real yaar.
I remember that rib ache so well in my last weeks. Side sleeping with a cushion under the bump and gentle stretching in the day eased it for me. Be gentle with yourself.
Try left side sleeping with good pillow support, and dont slouch when sitting in day, that adds to rib pain. If the pain is sharp or constant though, do mention it to your doctor once.
