My baby is almost 3 months now and i still feel so out of shape and tired all the time. Want to slowly get back to being active but dont know where to begin. how did u all manage with a newborn?
After normal delivery I began with easy walks and basic stretches once I felt ready. Honestly chasing the baby keeps u active too haha. Eat well, stay hydrated especially if breastfeeding, and build up slowly, no pressure to bounce back fast.
I'm planning postpartum already and my doc said wait for the 6 week checkup before any real workout, then start with gentle postnatal yoga and walks. Core and pelvic floor need careful easing back. Definitely get the green signal before jumping into anything.
After my c-section I had to go really slow, doc said no proper exercise for a few weeks till the wound healed. I started with short gentle walks once she cleared me. Dont rush ur body, healing first, fitness later, it does come back.
While breastfeeding dont crash diet at all, ur body needs the nutrition and energy. I focused on eating well and light movement, the weight slowly came off on its own. Be kind to urself, ur body just did something huge.
Realistically u wont get long workout slots with a newborn, so I just fit in 10-15 min of walking or simple postpartum exercises when baby slept. Small consistent bits work better than waiting for a perfect hour. Get doc clearance first though.
