9 weeks and even brushing my teeth makes me gag, sometimes just smelling food sets it off. its so draining yaar. is there anything that actually helped u reduce this? open to any small tip
Oh I gagged at everything in my first trimester, even brushing teeth set me off. What helped, eating small bites often so stomach is never empty, ginger or lemon water, and switching to a smaller toothbrush. Hang in there, it eases after a few weeks.
Don't stress, it's such a common first trimester thing yaar. Keep dry crackers near your bed, sip cold water slowly and avoid smells that trigger you. It passed for me by week 14 or so. You'll get through it.
Beta keep a few cloves or some saunf in your mouth, it calms that feeling. Plain biscuits before getting out of bed helped my daughter. If you can't keep anything down at all, then do tell your doctor, that needs attention.
My mother told me to sip ginger water and avoid strong smells in the kitchen. It really helped my gagging. Eat light and frequent. But if it's so bad you can't eat or drink, please check with your gynac.
Mild gagging is normal early on, ginger and small frequent meals help. But if you're throwing up many times a day and feeling weak or dizzy, don't manage it at home, see your doctor, sometimes it needs treatment.
