How to stop the feeling of vomiting during pregnancy?
This constant urge to vomit is making my whole day miserable, 9 weeks and the nausea just doesnt leave me. Even water feels difficult some mornings. What little things actually helped you feel better?
When I was at my maternal home, my mom used to give me a small piece of amla candy or lemon water with salt whenever I felt nauseous. Having small home-cooked, non-spicy meals really helped soothe my stomach. Just take plenty of rest and let your family pamper you.
My pregnancy app recommended sipping ginger tea and eating small meals every two hours to prevent an empty stomach, which triggers nausea. It also tracked my triggers so I knew to avoid strong food smells. It worked wonders for managing my vomiting sensation!
Carrying twins meant double the nausea, and honestly, smelling fresh lemon or chewing on a tiny piece of ginger helped me survive! Keep dry crackers on your bedside table and eat one before even getting out of bed. If it gets too heavy and you can't keep water down, call your doc for safe medicine.
I just delivered recently and trust me, having a few dry biscuits or toasted bread right in the morning helped settle my stomach immensely. Avoid lying down immediately after eating, and keep sipping water throughout the day. It gets much better after the first trimester!
I know morning sickness can be so exhausting and even scary if you've had a difficult past. Eating very small, frequent meals of simple, bland foods like toast or plain rice can help calm your stomach. Please don't take any over-the-counter medicine without consulting your gynac first.
