My gynac has told me to take bed rest for some time and honestly i dont fully get what that means. Like can i sit up, go to washroom, do small things or do i have to literally lie down all day? Pls share how u managed it.
I informed my office and took leave properly, dont try to sneak in work from bed. Keep water, charger and a small bin near you so you arent getting up. Plan meals in advance with family.
I was put on bed rest for spotting, and my doctor was very specific, lie on your left side mostly, only get up for washroom and food. Ask your gynac exactly what kind of rest she means, complete or modified. Each case is different.
When i was told to rest my MIL took over the kitchen which honestly was a blessing. Let the family help na, dont try to do chores quietly. Bed rest only works if you actually rest.
Bed rest sounds dreamy till day three when you've watched everything on Netflix, haha. Keep books, snacks and your phone charger close. Take it as forced me-time yaar.
