How to take iron and calcium tablets during pregnancy?
Doc gave me both iron and calcium but didnt explain much about timing. Someone told me dont take them together, ek saath nahi lena. Now im just confused how to space them out, can someone share how u manage it?
Haha, remembering which pill to take when was a daily puzzle for my sleepy brain! Just don't pop them together because calcium makes the iron useless. I took iron after lunch and calcium before bed, simple and easy!
In my experience, taking iron on an empty stomach with a little Vitamin C helps absorption, while calcium is best taken after a meal. Just never take them at the same time. This simple routine kept my hemoglobin levels perfect even after delivery.
I felt so overwhelmed trying to manage my prenatal vitamins. My doctor explained that taking iron and calcium together prevents the body from absorbing iron properly, which made me realize why timings matter. I started taking iron in the morning with some orange juice and calcium at night.
I know how confusing it is to manage all these tablets, I used to worry so much about getting the timings wrong! The key is never to take iron and calcium together as they block each other's absorption. Keep a gap of at least 4-5 hours between them, and you will do great.
Nurturing the life inside you is a beautiful duty, so keep a positive mind while taking your supplements. Just take iron in the morning and calcium in the evening so both work beautifully in your body. Stay blessed and take care.
Oh my god, I used to set multiple alarms on my phone because I was terrified I'd accidentally take them together and lose all the nutrients! Please keep them completely separate—like iron in the afternoon and calcium at night—so your body gets the full benefit of both. It's stressful, but you'll get into a routine soon!
