Everyone keeps telling me to start kesar milk now that im in second trimester. But im confused how much to add and when to drink it. Anyone who took saffron milk pls share how you did it?
During my pregnancy, I started having 2-3 strands of kesar in warm milk during my second trimester. It felt very soothing, but make sure to buy pure saffron. Recovery after delivery takes time, so keep your strength up from now.
My hospital gynecologist advised starting saffron milk only after the first trimester. Just ask your doctor or hospital dietitian during your next visit about the right time to start it. Usually, 2-3 strands are perfectly safe.
Keep it simple. Do not take kesar in the first three months because it increases body heat. From the 4th month onwards, just put 2 strands in warm milk daily. No need to put spoonfuls of it.
I was told by my mother-in-law to soak 2 strands of kesar in a spoon of warm milk first, then mix it in the whole glass. I take it gently before sleeping, it feels very calming.
Don't expect the baby to become fair like fair & lovely just by drinking kesar milk, okay! But yes, it tastes amazing and is great for mood swings. Just drop 2 strands in hot milk, let it turn yellow, and enjoy!
I didn't have time for fancy rituals, so I just added 2 strands of kesar to warm milk at night. Don't overdo it, just a tiny pinch is enough. It actually helped me sleep better after a long workday.
