Doc gave me a due date at my scan but my periods were always irregular so im confused about when it actually happened. Can u work backwards from the due date somehow? curious how others figured it out.
I just put my due date into a pregnancy app and it showed me the estimated conception window. Super handy honestly. But remember it is an estimate, the early dating scan is the most accurate way to know.
My doctor explained the due date is counted 40 weeks from your last period, and conception is usually about two weeks after that start. So roughly, your due date minus 38 weeks gives the conception time. The early scan dates it even more accurately though.
Oh so it is roughly two weeks after the last period start? I always got confused why they count from before conception. Thanks, that clears it up a bit.
