We started trying last month and honestly im a bit confused about the whole fertile window thing. My cycle is mostly regular, around 30 days. How do u all figure out the right days, by app or ovulation kits? pls share what worked for u.
Track your cycle for a few months first. Ovulation is usually around day 14 if you have a 28 day cycle, count from first day of period. Be active around that time and few days before, sperm survives a bit so dont wait for the exact day only.
I used a period tracker app and also those ovulation strips from chemist, they show the LH surge. Honestly the strips helped me more than guessing. White stretchy discharge is also a good sign that fertile window is here.
Dont turn it into a maths exam yaar, that stress actually backfires. Track loosely, enjoy the process, it happens. Took us 4 months and we almost gave up the calculations by then.
We are also trying na so following this. My gynac told me to note when discharge becomes clear and slippery, that's the time. Still figuring it out honestly.
Just adding, if your cycles are irregular like mine were, the day 14 thing may not work. I had to do a follicular scan at the clinic to actually know when I was ovulating. Maybe ask your doctor if periods arent regular.
Basal body temperature charting plus the LH strips give a clearer picture together. But if nothing after several months a quick word with a gynac is worth it, they can confirm if you're ovulating properly.
