First pregnancy and i keep getting confused between which week im in vs how many months. Doc said one thing, the apps show slightly different. How do you all keep count properly?
It's counted from the first day of your last period, not from conception, that confuses a lot of people. So if your period was 8 weeks ago, you're 8 weeks pregnant. Your gynac confirms the exact dates at the first scan.
Haan it goes from your last period date, na. Doctor calculated my due date from that and the dating scan adjusted it slightly. Just note that LMP date down, that's the starting point.
I used a pregnancy app, you just put your last period date and it counts the weeks for you automatically. Super easy and it shows baby's size each week too, I loved that part.
My family counts in months but doctors go by weeks, so I just trusted the scan dates. The ultrasound gives the most correct weeks, so the early scan settled it for me nicely.
I kept getting confused between weeks and months honestly. The early scan gave me the most accurate week count and due date. Anyone else found the apps and the doctor's count differing by a few days?
