My sugar came high in the glucose test and they are calling it gestational diabetes. Im a little worried honestly because nobody in my family had this. How did you ladies manage it during your pregnancy?
Please treat this seriously and stay under proper medical supervision, dont try home remedies for it. Mine needed close monitoring and the baby was watched carefully. With discipline and your doctor's plan it's very manageable, so just stay regular with everything.
I had GD and managed it mostly with diet and walking, my doctor guided everything. Smaller frequent meals, cutting sugar and white rice, and lots of protein and veggies helped my numbers. Some women need insulin, so please follow your gynac and dietitian, dont guess on your own.
My doctor explained gestational diabetes is managed with diet, regular sugar monitoring and exercise first, and medication only if needed. She had me check my sugar at home and keep a log. The key is staying in your target range, so work closely with your team.
