I was diagnosed with h pylori just before I found out im pregnant. Now im worried because im in first trimester and dont know how it's managed safely at this time. Planning to ask my gynac next week but wanted to hear if anyone went through this.
Honestly the safest route is a proper consult. Diet changes can ease the discomfort but the infection itself needs medical guidance during pregnancy. Let your doctor weigh whats okay now versus after delivery.
From what I know, doctors often hold off on the full treatment till after delivery unless its serious, and manage symptoms safely meanwhile. Best to get tested properly and let your doc guide, every case is different.
Please dont try to treat this on your own during pregnancy. H pylori treatment usually has antibiotics and some are not safe in pregnancy, so only your gynac or a gastro doctor should decide. I had stomach issues and they monitored me closely, dont self medicate.
I had bad acidity and stomach burning whole pregnancy, felt awful. For comfort my doc allowed small frequent meals and avoiding spicy oily food. But for h pylori specifically u really need a doctor to confirm and treat, pls get checked.
This is not a home remedy thing yaar. Go to your gynac, tell her your symptoms, she may refer to a stomach specialist. They will pick whats safe for pregnancy. Dont take any random antibiotic course you find online.
