My sis in law is 5 months along and got diagnosed with malaria yesterday, the whole house is tensed. She is going to the doctor for sure but i just wanted to understand from anyone who went through this how its managed safely in pregnancy.
Malaria in pregnancy needs proper medical care, this is not a home remedy situation at all. If u or someone has fever with chills, see a doctor fast. They will choose medicines that are safe for the baby.
Please please don't try to treat malaria at home or with random tablets in pregnancy. This is serious and some malaria medicines are not safe for pregnancy. Go to ur doctor immediately so they give the right safe treatment.
High fever in pregnancy itself is risky, and malaria more so. Don't waste time on totkas yaar, get to the hospital and let the doctor handle the medication. Drink fluids and rest till u reach there.
I know this sounds scary but malaria is very treatable when a doctor manages it during pregnancy. The important thing is don't delay and don't self medicate. Get checked soon, ok? You'll be taken care of.
