How to treat pigmentation on face during pregnancy?
Since 2nd trimester started my cheeks and forehead have got these dark patches, never had this before. Saas keeps saying it will go after delivery but it really bothers me na. Anyone found something gentle that helped during pregnancy?
Don't waste money on fancy serums right now. Just use a high-quality physical sunscreen (mineral one) every single day, even indoors. The pigmentation is hormonal, so it will mostly clear up later.
Beta, this is just pregnancy glow's other side, don't worry. Apply a little fresh aloe vera gel from the plant or raw milk gently on your face. Avoid going out in direct afternoon sun.
This pigmentation is very common due to pregnancy hormones. I used to apply a pack of besan and dahi twice a week. Keep smiling and don't worry, your baby's smile will make you forget all these marks!
Please get your regular thyroid tests done too, as hormonal imbalances can also make skin issues worse. My doctor adjusted my thyroid dose and suggested a very mild pregnancy-safe sunscreen which really helped.
Honestly, I had zero time for long skincare routines while managing office. I just used a safe sunscreen recommended by my doctor and washed my face twice. Most of it fades away on its own post-delivery anyway.
Try using some raw milk or a little tomato juice on the spots, it worked slowly for me. But don't buy expensive chemical creams without asking your doctor first. Keep it simple and natural.
Oh my god, same here! My cheeks have got these dark patches and I feel so conscious. Did anyone find a safe cream that actually works, or should I just wait till delivery?
