Having terrible itching and small bumps and the doc suspects scabies, im in my second trimester. Worried about what is safe to use now. planning to go back to my gynac but wanted to know if anyone dealt with this while pregnant.
I know it's miserable and itchy but don't worry, it's very treatable. Just don't grab a random cream, let ur doctor pick the safe one for pregnancy. Wash everything hot and treat anyone else at home too so it doesn't spread back.
Please don't use any scabies cream on ur own in pregnancy, some are not advised in these months. Show it to ur doctor, they'll give a cream that's safe to use now. Scratching can cause infection so get it treated properly and soon.
This is one of those things where home tips aren't enough honestly, scabies needs proper medicine. For the itch relief part keep skin clean and cool, but for the actual treatment please go to a doctor. They'll sort it safely.
I'd see ur gynac or a skin doctor for this. They pick a pregnancy safe treatment and tell u exactly how to apply it. Also wash all clothes and bedding in hot water and dry in sun, that stops it from coming back.
