This sharp pain shoots down from my hip to my leg and its been killing me since last week. Im in third trimester now. Sitting, standing, sleeping everything hurts. How did u all get some relief from this?
That shooting leg pain is the worst, i had it in my second pregnancy. A warm compress, sleeping on the side with a pillow between knees, and not standing too long helped me. For exercises ask your doctor, dont try random youtube stretches.
Please mention this to your gynac, mine referred me to a physio who gave safe exercises. Dont take any painkiller on your own for it. If the pain is severe or you feel numbness or weakness, tell the doctor soon.
My doctor cleared me for some gentle prenatal stretches and they genuinely eased my sciatica. A pregnancy pillow for sleep was a lifesaver too. But please get the exercises approved first, some moves can make it worse if done wrong.
Beta a warm cloth on the lower back used to give a lot of relief, you can try that gently. Avoid sitting or standing in one position too long. But for proper exercises ask your doctor or a physio, dont strain the back.
If you sit at a desk like me, get up and move every hour, sitting long made my sciatica flare up. A small back cushion on the chair helped. And dont skip telling your doctor, they can suggest safe stretches that fit your routine.
