I got diagnosed with typhoid and im 4 months along, im honestly so worried about the baby. I will be talking to my gynac soon but wanted to hear if anyone went through this in pregnancy. how did u manage?
Please do NOT self treat typhoid in pregnancy, many common antibiotics are not safe for baby. You need your gynac and physician together to pick a safe medicine. High fever itself can be risky so go to doctor immediately, dont wait.
Oh dear get to a doctor soon na, typhoid is not a small thing. Rest a lot, drink plenty water and clean cooked food only. The doctor will give safe medicine for you and baby, dont try home things for this one.
When my friend got it, her doctor chose a pregnancy-safe antibiotic and monitored her closely with rest and fluids. The key is the doctor decides the medicine, never the chemist or google. She also said keep checking the fever as high temp needs attention fast.
Beta typhoid is serious, ghar ke nuskhe wont fix it, only doctor medicine will. You can keep her hydrated with water, nimbu pani, light khichdi alongside but that is just for strength, not cure. Rush to the doctor for the actual treatment.
Anything with fever during pregnancy, straight to gynac, no shortcuts. Typhoid needs proper diagnosis with blood test and the right safe antibiotic. Please dont take any medicine on your own, even paracetamol only as doctor tells.
