Please don't jerk or turn suddenly in bed. Sit up slowly first and then change your side, that's what I had to do due to my pregnancy complications. It is always safest to check with your doctor if you feel any discomfort or pull while turning.
Turning in my 8th month feels like a heavy truck taking a U-turn on a narrow road, honestly! I literally have to sit up, adjust my 3 pillows, and then slowly lie down on the other side. Pregnancy pillows help a bit, but sleep is just a dream now!
Turning around in bed now requires a proper map and 5 minutes of preparation! Just buy a huge C-shaped pregnancy pillow and build a fort around yourself. Don't worry, you won't crush the baby, they are very safe inside their little water balloon!
I'm in my 5th month now and turning in bed feels so weird and scary! I am always worried I will squash the baby if I turn wrong. Are you guys also getting up completely before switching sides, or is it okay to just roll over slowly?
Always ask your gynac about the safest sleeping positions for your specific week. Usually, sleeping on the left side is recommended for blood flow, but if you have any back pain or discomfort while turning, please tell your doctor. Don't take any chances.
