I'm 32 weeks and bought one of those big exercise balls for back support. honestly thoda confused how to even sit on it properly without falling, lol. Anyone who used it during pregnancy can tell me how you started?
When I was at my mum's place, my brother got me one of these balls because my back was aching so much. I used to just sit on it gently and bounce slightly while watching TV, it really helped open up my pelvic area. My mom would always stand close to make sure I didn't lose balance, so make sure someone is around.
Using a birthing ball is amazing for relieving lower back strain and preparing for labor. Just make sure the ball size matches your height so your knees are at a 90-degree angle when sitting. Honestly, do run it by your physiotherapist or gynac once to know the safest exercises for your body.
Don't buy those expensive brands, any good anti-burst exercise ball from Amazon works perfectly fine. Just inflate it properly and place a yoga mat underneath so it doesn't slip on the tiles. Sitting on it while folding clothes or cutting veggies is the easiest way to use it.
I had thyroid issues so I was extra careful with my routines and kept checking with my doc. For the ball, my gynac said to sit on it with knees wider than hips and do gentle circular motions. It's great for posture, but do ask your doctor first before starting any new exercise.
Yaar it is super simple, just sit on it and do light figure-8 motions with your hips. Don't stress too much about doing complex workouts on it. Even just replacing your normal chair with the ball for an hour a day will make u feel so much lighter!
I just delivered last month and literally lived on my gym ball during the third trimester! I used to sit on it and gently sway side to side to help the baby drop down. It also eased my hip pain so much, totally recommend it if your doc gives the go-ahead.
