Bought a digital kit for the first time, always used the normal line wala ones before. Bit nervous about doing it wrong. Can someone tell me the right way to use it na, how long to wait etc?
My mother told me to wait a week after my missed period to get an accurate result, which is very wise. When you use the digital kit, just make sure to use your first morning urine because it has the highest hormone levels. Keep the stick flat on a surface and wait calmly for the screen to show the word.
It can be nerve-wracking waiting for that screen to change. Just take a deep breath, follow the steps on the box, and lay the stick on a flat counter. Wishing you all the best and the result you are hoping for.
Digital tests are so easy because they literally write 'Pregnant' or 'Not Pregnant' on the screen, so no squinting at faint lines! Just hold the absorbent tip in your urine stream for 5 seconds, or dip it in a clean cup of urine as per the app instructions. Keep it flat while waiting for the timer to finish.
According to the instruction manual and what my doctor explained, you shouldn't hold the test with the absorbent tip pointing upwards after wetting it, as urine can seep into the screen and ruin the digital sensor. Either hold it pointing down in your stream for 5 seconds or dip it in a cup for 20 seconds, then place it flat.
These digital ones are so modern and nice, no confusion at all! My MIL was also amazed when she saw the words 'Pregnant' pop up on the screen instead of lines. Just read the little booklet inside the box carefully before doing it so you don't waste the kit.
