Just got my BFP and doc gave folic acid but i forgot to ask when exactly to take it, before food ya after. Should it be morning or night? thoda confused, pls guide.
Folic acid is best taken as a daily tablet prescribed by your gynac, ideally even before you conceive or during the first trimester. Don't self-medicate or decide the dosage yourself. Just take it at the same time every day with water.
Beta, always take the tablet that your doctor gives you. Along with that, you can also eat natural foods like green leafy vegetables and dal which are rich in folate. But medicine is a must, so don't skip it.
My mother always tells me to eat spinach and beetroot for natural folate, which is very good. But for the actual folic acid tablet, you must strictly follow your doctor's dosage. Just take it daily with water after your meals.
Honestly, just swallow it with water as prescribed by your doctor and don't skip it! I'm in my 3rd trimester now and my brain is so foggy, I had to set a daily alarm on my phone. It's super important for the baby so take it daily.
I am currently trying to conceive and my doctor recently started me on a daily folic acid supplement. Is it better to take it in the morning or at night? I usually take it after dinner so I don't forget.
