How to use kesar in milk during pregnancy in hindi?
My mother told me to drink kesar milk during pregnancy. Can someone explain how to use kesar in milk during pregnancy, specifically in Hindi? I want to follow the traditional way.
While kesar milk is a traditional drink, I strongly suggest asking your gynac before starting it. Some doctors advise avoiding it in the first trimester entirely. If your doctor gives the green light, just 2-3 strands in warm milk at night is more than enough.
I used to have warm kesar milk every night during my second and third trimesters. Just boil a glass of milk, drop 2 strands of kesar, and let it turn slightly yellow. It really helped calm my mind, and I still have a warm glass of milk now while breastfeeding my baby.
I used to panic thinking kesar would cause contractions or changes in baby's skin color, which are all myths! My doctor explained it is totally safe and normal to drink it after the first trimester. Just boil 2 strands in milk and enjoy, it actually helps you sleep much better!
My pregnancy tracker app suggested starting kesar milk only from the 5th month onwards. You just need to soak 2 strands of organic kesar in warm milk for 10 minutes before drinking. The app also mentioned it helps with mood swings, which was totally true for me!
Kesar milk is great for digestion and sleep, which really helped me stay active for my normal delivery. I used to soak 2 strands in a spoon of warm milk first, then mix it in my glass of warm milk at night. It's a healthy habit, just keep the quantity minimal.
With twins, my MIL wanted me to drink kesar milk daily so the babies would be 'fair'—which is totally a myth, by the way! I drank it just for the nice taste and sleep benefits. Just drop 2-3 strands in hot milk, don't put the whole jar in, otherwise your body will heat up like an oven!
Look didi, kesar milk is very easy to make. Just take a glass of warm milk, add 2-3 strands of kesar, let it sit for 5 minutes and then drink it. Don't add more than 3 strands because too much kesar can cause body heat, which isn't good.
