We are trying since couple months and I bought ovulation strips but im a bit lost on using them properly. Like which day to start and what time of day is best. Can someone explain how u used it?
Just to clear it, ovulation test and pregnancy test are different things. Ovulation kit tells your fertile days so you know when to try, it doesnt confirm pregnancy. For pregnancy you need a separate urine pregnancy test after missed period.
We started using these when we were trying. I tested with afternoon urine daily and waited for the two lines to be equally dark, that meant the best days. It really helped us time things. But yes, its only for finding ovulation, not for pregnancy.
Ovulation strips check the LH hormone surge, which usually means you ovulate in next 24-36 hours. Start testing few days after period ends, daily around same time, and when you see the dark line that's your fertile window to try. For confirming pregnancy use a pregnancy kit later, not this one.
I was also confused between the two kits first. Ovulation test = best days to try. Pregnancy test = after period is missed. If you have irregular cycles, the ovulation kit really helps, but ask your gynac if you want to be sure.
