Got a family function next month and im in my 6th month. Want to wear saree but worried about it being too tight on belly or uncomfortable. how do u all drape it comfortably?
My saas helped me drape it nicely below the bump for functions. She said keep it loose and use a comfortable petticoat. Honestly it looked so pretty over the belly, I felt nice in it.
Actually the trick is, tie the petticoat under your belly yaar, not over it. And dont knot too tight. I switched to soft cotton petticoats with drawstring, much easier on the bump.
I wore sarees to office even at 7 months. Go for lightweight cotton or georgette, pleats fewer so its not bulky, and pin securely so you're not adjusting all day. Low and loose is the comfort rule.
Wear it below the bump, never tight on the tummy. Tie the petticoat loose, you can even use a soft elastic waist petticoat, so comfy. I wore sarees till the end both times this way, no problem.
Haan na, just drape it below your tummy and keep everything loose, no tight knots. I wore mine for a pooja in 8th month, ho na, it was totally fine and looked lovely.
